From the age of eleven when he appeared in his first role on the stage of Yugoslav Drama Theatre (Jugoslovensko Dramsko Pozoriste, Beograd) in 1972 production of "Flint" Boris has received numerous awards for his contribution to Theatre. From 1984 he has acquired the status of Drama Artist and became a member of Drama Artists Association of Yugoslavia (from 1992 DAA of Serbia). Boris graduated from the Academy of Performing Arts, Acting Stream, in Sarajevo in 1990 and was granted a stipend by the Sarajevo National Theatre. Due to the war he left Sarajevo in 1992 and lived and worked in Belgrade, his hometown, before coming to Australia in 1995. With extensive acting experience in theatre, film and television, Boris has directed several plays and lectured on the Stanislavski System.
          His theatre credits include co-direction, with Andrew Ross, of the 1996 Festival of Perth smash hit "Miss Bosnia", directing premiere production of "Thermophobia" at the Blue Room in 1998 and in 2001  at Playhouse Theatre “The Bread Trap” written by Vasso Kalamaras acting in a number of a productions including Company B (Belvoir St Theatre) production of “Antigone”, “Happy Days” Tadaria, “I am Nijinsky” Sally Richardson / Deckchair Theatre, “Antigone in New York” Theatre Zart, “ Subi Shorts”, “Welcome to Broome” and ”Plainsong” for Black Swan Theatre Company. He was consultant on the BSTC productions of “The Diary of Madman” and “The Year of Living Dangerously”.
          In 1999/2000 he has produced, directed and edited 13 episodes of  “Avala TV” for CH31.
         From 1996 to 2005  Boris was teaching acting and directing at the Western Australian Academy of Performing Arts where he directed students in productions of ”Entropy” by San Vincent Harper, Chekhov’s ”Uncle Vanya”. Louie Nowra’s ”Sunrise” & ”Capricornia” and Molière’s ”Tartuffe” as well as mentored over 20 student independent projects. In 2003 as the artist in residence he directed the production of ”Mid-Summer Nights Dream” for Hayman Theatre - Curtin University - Perth
